About Penn AI

Penn AI is a three-year initiative that aims to strengthen the community around AI and Data Science research and education. Penn AI creates connections and supports interdisciplinary collaboration across campus. Led by the AI Council, the council functions as strategic advisor to the university on all matters related to AI and Data Science. Penn AI also oversees the Penn Advanced Research Computing Center (PARCC), a high-powered computing cluster launching in Spring 2025.

AI Council

The Penn AI Council is a group of six faculty members who cross various disciplines and are leading the effort to map and strengthen Penn’s AI community focused on our core mission of research and education.

AI Faculty Advisory Committee

The Penn AI Faculty Advisory Committee represents a cross-section of campus stakeholders, providing the Council with expert advice from our diverse schools and research areas, identifying key research opportunities, coordinating data science and AI teaching initiatives, supporting infrastructure, and ensuring Penn’s AI initiatives represent and help the community.
